The battle for the key Toronto riding of St. Paul's is underway.

As expected, a Sept. 17 provincial by-election to fill the seat vacated by former Liberal economic development minister Michael Bryant was called yesterday.

It will be the first by-election since the Liberals unveiled their plan to harmonize the 8 per cent provincial sales tax with the 5 per cent federal goods and services tax, and the first since the eHealth Ontario spending scandal exploded.[...]

The nomination meeting will be held on Monday August 24, 2009 at 7pm at St.  Matthew's Bracondale House, 707 St. Clair Ave. West.
